Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. However, many of our clients are able to receive reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits—and we make that process as simple and supported as possible.

How often do we meet?
We typically meet once per week, at the same time each week. In our experience, consistent weekly sessions create the best conditions for meaningful progress and trust to develop.
While every-other-week or monthly sessions might seem more convenient, they often interrupt the rhythm of the work and slow the process. This kind of therapy is deeply relational, and trusting, secure relationships are built over through consistency and time.

How long are sessions?
Our initial intake sessions are 1 hour long. Weekly sessions following the intake are 45 minutes, please reach out—we’re happy to discuss options like 75- or 90-minute sessions or meeting more than once per week.

What is your cancellation policy?
We have a one-week cancellation policy. This means that if you need to cancel or reschedule your session, we ask that you do so at least seven days in advance.
This policy is in place to honor the time and energy both you and your therapist commit to your weekly sessions. It reflects the value we place on consistency in the therapeutic process, and helps us hold your time slot just for you.
Of course, life happens—we understand that emergencies and unexpected events come up. We'll try to be flexible when possible, especially in one-off situations. But if late cancellations become a pattern, the full fee will be charged in accordance with our policy.

How do I know if I "need" Somatic therapy?
You might feel stuck. Disconnected. Overwhelmed. Like you’ve tried to think your way out of it—but your body still holds the tension, the fear, the old stories.
Somatic therapy isn’t just for when things are falling apart. It’s for anyone who senses there’s something deeper underneath the patterns, and wants to feel more at home in themselves.
We start where you are—no pressure, no performance.

What can I expect from my therapist in session?
Every session is shaped by what your body brings into the room. Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we pause and notice. A flutter in your chest. A lump in your throat. A sense of pulling away or leaning in.
Your therapist will guide with presence and care—helping you track sensations, emotions, and impulses, and making space for what’s often been ignored or shut down. Some sessions might feel active, others more internal. Both are important. And your therapist will be with you, by your side, no matter what arises.

How long should I expect to be in therapy?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer—because your body doesn’t move on a timeline.
That said, we find that most people are in therapy for 1-3 years on average. That consistency gives your nervous system the safety it needs to begin shifting long-held patterns. Some people stay longer, especially if they’re using therapy as ongoing support for growth, integration, or trauma recovery.
We understand that therapy often unfolds in chapters. There may come a time when the work feels complete for now, and it’s time to pause or close this chapter—that’s something we’ll honor and support with a thoughtful, intentional ending process. And if life shifts down the road and a new chapter begins, you’re always welcome to return and reconnect.

Are there issues that fall outside your scope?
We work best with people who are looking for depth—those who are ready to tune into the body, explore trauma gently, and reconnect with themselves in a more meaningful way.
That said, there are areas we don’t specialize in. We don’t provide diagnoses for legal or school-related needs, and we don’t offer short-term, solution-focused work like CBT protocols. Our style is slower, more relational, and somatically grounded.
We do offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with trusted medical providers. While we don’t prescribe the medicine ourselves, we partner closely with prescribers to ensure a safe, connected process from beginning to end.
If your needs fall outside our scope, we’ll always do our best to refer you to someone who’s a better fit. You deserve support that truly aligns with where you are and what you need.
