all about simon
Hi, I’m Simon. I first started exploring my internal world when I started meditating to get better at playing basketball. Over 10 years later, I no longer play basketball, but my exploration of the mind and mental health has become a significant part of my own life and personal growth.
I am a very analytical person. While this has helped me understand what it means to live in this world, it has also disconnected me from my own body, where I’ve found much of my growth and healing. I started experiencing more progress in my own journey when I placed more attention on somatic practices, which deepened my interest in the role the body can play in healing.
In addition to somatic methods, I have a strong interest in existential thinking, nature-based healing practices, and how we can live meaningfully within modern society. I am curious not only about how we can grow by working through our life stories, but also how we can connect with others and with the rest of the world as it currently is.
In my life, I have encountered mental health struggles both personally and among those close to me. As I continue to learn about the challenges people face, I am increasingly aware of the importance of healing in shaping people’s experiences, especially their relationships with others and how they interact with the world.
What inspired me to work in mental health
Going for a walk, working out / training Jiu-Jitsu, or hanging out at the beach.
When I'm not working you can find me
Nature, qigong practice, and spending time with others.
Three things that keep me grounded:
Get some morning sunlight, make coffee, and journal.
Every morning, I:
